Arabella’s got the dream job. It’s time for ROMANCE!
Arabella Jones has been best friends with Camille since their days in college. Her parents died when she was a teenager, which explains why she gives up everything familiar to move to Camille’s hometown and start a new career as as a news anchor, even adopting Camille’s family as her own. That doesn’t mean accepting a date from Camille’s attractive older brother. If something went wrong, Camille and her parents might never forgive her. Bella’s risked too much to blow it all on a romance with a brother, even if Jeff is cute enough to make her toes curl.
Arabella has to grin and take it when Camille’s back-up plan comes into play. Truly inspirational? Lord, help us. Seven blind dates, all hand-picked by Camille. Who will Bella choose?
- A date to Camille’s wedding? Everybody loves Davis.
- A cowboy on a mechanical bull? Bella might just kill her sister for giving Camille his name, but she does learn a new line dance.
- An exclusive ice-house restaurant?…without a coat. Usher in the flu.
- A horseback ride in the country? Guy Stewart says he really understands women. They love to talk, talk, talk. Bella might disagree with him…if he ever lets her talk.
- The man running for District Attorney? Maybe her boss had introduced them instead of Camille, but it’s still a blind date. Besides, he really knows how to treat a girl, even if he does pay someone to water his plants.
- A charming dad with the most adorable little girls? Does she want a ready-made family?
- Maybe God should pick this one.
Surely one will be a man worthy of a lifetime’s commitment.
Jeff has a few plans of his own when Bella won’t look his way, and he’s not giving up without a fight. If a bouquet of flowers delivered every day won’t do it, then perhaps a sunset ride on a hot air balloon will get her attention. He’s bathed this project in prayer, and he’s trying to trust God with the end result.
Is Arabella listening to God?

This is not my first, nor will it be my last, Felicia Mires book. Every one has been a non-stop repeat read. 7 Blind Dates is no exception.
Arabella has finally found the courage to move to the hometown of her college best friend. Even though Bella has a sister that is six years older, she has practicality adopted Camille’s family except Jeff, the brother she never has the chance to meet. When Bella “comes home” for Cami’s wedding she has agreed to go on 7 dates and none of which are to be Jeff, who Camille thinks is perfect for Bella. Then they meet and its instant attraction on both ends. Jeff turns out to be the best thing that has happened to Bella, but she is insistent not to date him, if it goes wrong she could loose the family she has longed for since her parents death at seventeen. All the dates Bella goes on are one test after another that prove who she should be with.
What will Bella do? What will Jeff do? Through this sweet love story, Felicia shows a reliance that we all have on family and God. Bella and Jeff try to do what the Lord has lead them to do and when they get it wrong they are always back to seeking His face. That has to be the most important message in the book to me is that when we as God’s children mess up, and we always do, that we still have a Heavenly Father that is with us even when out earthly family is far away.
I am ready for the next, Thanks Felicia!

I love, love, LOVE this story. The characters are real. The blind dates are hilarious, frustrating, and down right irritating. The irritating date had me wanting to throw him in the pond! I love the banter. I love Jeff. I want one of my very own. I look forward to reading more by Ms. Mires.

Without giving anything away, I have to say that Jeff might be one of my favorite fictional characters ever. The humble and determined way he goes about winning Arabella’s heart is refreshing and endearing.
Aside from the well-crafted romance, I have to congratulate the author on creating an impressive cast of amusing “dates”. I actually laughed out loud at some of the men poor Arabella was forced to endure.
All in all, this was a fun romance with an entertaining storyline, and I have recommended it to some friends who love sweet, romantic stories!
