When death changes everything, can love save the day?
Jennifer is reeling after the sudden death of her husband on the mission field. When she returns to the States for the funeral, she is shocked by the terms of Jeff’s will. There’s no way Jennifer can handle the interference of Gavin Lane, even if Jeff did leave instructions for his best friend and lawyer to watch over her. Gavin made his opinion of Jennifer known years ago when she first married Jeff. Now is not the time for him to step in as the solution to her problems.
Gavin has always thought Jennifer was the perfect example of a Wife of Noble Character, but she won’t even speak to him. How can he explain what happened years ago when he isn’t sure he knows himself? One thing is certain, Jennifer is still a woman of noble character, and she sends Gavin’s heart into overdrive. Gavin will have to rely on God for inspiration into Jennifer’s heart.
Can Jennifer get past her grief in time to see Gavin for who he truly is? While he’s waiting, it looks as if someone else has beaten a path to Jennifer’s door. Someone who isn’t all he seems.
Jennifer’s life could be on the line if Gavin doesn’t get beyond the past in time to save her.

I really enjoyed this book (like all Felicia Mire novels)!! It’s kinda a hard story to go about with the character dealing with the death of someone so close and seeing yourself fall in love with someone again suddenly. but Felicia did a great, wonderful job like always!

I felt torn so many different directions while I read this book! Sometimes I liked Gavin; other times I couldn’t stand him. I felt the same with Jennifer! Haha I loved the storyline; it is a great portrayal of a woman’s emotions when daring to love again.
