Fix Your Eyes on Jesus

I woke up this morning saying Hebrews 12:1-4…Hebrews 12:1-4…Hebrews 12:1-4…Hebrews 12:1-4. As I came to full consciousness I realized I had dreamed that bible verse…no pictures…just the verse. Was God speaking something to me? As I picked up my bible, I said, Lord, this better be you and not some verse like “Jesus wept”. lol
I had a REALLY rough day yesterday. I haven’t had a rough day in months, seriously months, since I began declaring verses of Covenant Protection. Yesterday was awful! Satan knocked me flat out. By 6pm I shut down and went to bed. I didn’t get up until God called to me in my sleep at 6am the next morning…
Hebrews 12:1-4- “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, we must get rid of every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and run with endurance the race set out for us, 2 keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy set out for him he endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Think of him who endured such opposition against himself by sinners, so that you may not grow weary in your souls and give up. 4 You have not yet resisted to the point of bloodshed in your struggle against sin.”
I began to weep as I read the words. Ok, God. I’ll get rid of those weights. I’ll fix my eyes on Jesus so I won’t grow weary. What I’m going through is nothing compared to what he sacrificed for me.
Are you weary? Fix your eyes on Jesus. I don’t understand how, but it was a joy to Him to die for us. He endured all that for me, for you. Get rid of every weight and sin that clings and think of him who endured.
